About ANARC
What is ANARC Essentials?
ANARC Essentials is an intentional body-care brand built around a simple philosophy: caring for your skin doesn't have to be complicated.
We create thoughtfully formulated products designed to work individually and together as part of a ritual you can realistically return to.
Our approach combines purposeful formulation, botanical ingredients, handcrafted care, and the four-step ANARC Method: Cleanse. Exfoliate. Hydrate. Seal.
What does ANARC mean?
ANARC comes directly from founder Amira Nafisah Abdur Razzaq Collins' name.
The name is deeply personal, connecting the founder's identity and family history to the brand she created.

Do I have to use every step every day?
No.
The Method provides structure—not rules.
Cleansing and moisturizing may naturally be part of your everyday care, while exfoliation may be used less frequently depending on your skin and the product you're using.
Your ritual should fit your skin, preferences, and lifestyle.
Do I have to use only ANARC products for the Method?
No
You can use the ANARC Method as a framework regardless of where every product in your bathroom comes from.
Of course, ANARC products are intentionally developed and paired to make building the ritual easier, but we want you to understand how to care for your skin, not feel forced to replace everything you already own.
Where should I start?
Start with what your current body-care routine is missing.

What is the AE Five-Herb Infusion?
The AE Five-Herb Infusion is ANARC Essentials' signature botanical oil infusion made with:
Calendula • Chamomile • Yarrow • Burdock Root • Plantain Leaf
The botanicals are infused into lightweight grapeseed oil before the finished infusion is incorporated into many of our botanical formulas.

Is the AE Five-Herb Infusion in every ANARC product?
No.
And I want this language accurate because we've previously used phrases like "every botanical ANARC formula begins..." too broadly.
Some ANARC formulas feature our signature infusion, while others serve a different purpose or require a different formulation approach.
When the AE Five-Herb Infusion is included, you'll find it listed with the product's ingredient information.
Why does ANARC use grapeseed oil for the infusion?
We selected grapeseed oil because of its lightweight skin feel and versatility within the types of body-care formulas we create.
It gives us a practical carrier for our botanical infusion without making the infusion itself unnecessarily heavy.

Are ANARC products “all natural”?
We don't formulate around an “all natural” label.
We formulate around purpose, performance, safety, and the experience we want each product to provide.
Depending on the formula, an ANARC product may contain botanical oils and butters alongside functional cosmetic ingredients such as emulsifiers, preservatives, humectants, or fragrance.
Every ingredient should have a reason for being there.
Why do some products need preservatives?
Products containing water—or products formulated in ways that can support microbial growth—require an appropriate preservation system.
Preservation is an important part of responsible cosmetic formulation and helps protect the integrity and safety of the product during normal use.

Do you offer unscented options?
Yes. Select ANARC products are available without added fragrance for customers who prefer a simpler scent experience.
Availability may vary by product.
Are your scented products made with essential oils?
Not necessarily.
ANARC uses fragrance materials appropriate to the individual product and formula. Ingredient information for each product should be reviewed if you have specific fragrance preferences or sensitivities.
What if I'm sensitive to fragrance?
If you know you're sensitive to fragrance, choose an available fragrance-free option when appropriate and review the full ingredient list before use.
Individual sensitivities vary, so what works well for one person's skin may not work for another.
Should I patch test a new product?
Yes, particularly if you have sensitive skin or are trying a new product or fragrance.

Why might my product look slightly different from a previous order?
Because many ANARC products are handcrafted in batches and contain ingredients such as botanical oils and butters, slight variations in appearance, texture, or color may occur.
Small variations don't automatically mean something is wrong with your product.
If something appears significantly different or you have concerns about an item you received, contact us.
What happens if my Whipped Body Butter melts?
This one belongs primarily on the Whipped Butter product page and Product Care page, so here I'd keep it short:
Our Whipped Body Butter is temperature-sensitive and may soften or melt when exposed to heat.
Melting can change its whipped texture even after it cools, although that doesn't necessarily mean the product is unusable.
